October 2026

This release makes everyday document management smoother, clearer and more dependable, with particular improvements for teams managing officer and shareholder records.

Uploading and reviewing documents

• Upload more files at once. You can now upload up to 50 files in a single batch, up from 10.

• You stay in control when approving documents. Before approving a document from the Inbox, you can change the suggested category, projects and linked company record. The details you approve are the details that are saved.

• Clearer document titles. Suggested titles for newly uploaded documents follow a more consistent format and begin with the document type.

• Clearer feedback. If an upload or approval cannot be completed, Adviisa explains what happened and what you can do next.

Officer and shareholder ID documents

• Previous IDs are kept. When you approve a new ID for a director or shareholder, the previous ID stays in your Library. It is marked OLD ID and given a dated Superseded tag.

• Nothing changes until you approve it. Uploading a new ID does not replace the current one until you review and approve the new document.

• Expiry dates can be cleared. You can remove an ID expiry date for both directors and shareholders. Once cleared, the date stays cleared and its calendar reminder is removed.

• Cleaner calendar reminders. ID expiry reminders and filing deadlines each appear once. Completing a filing deadline moves it forward to the correct next date.

Library improvements

• Filters and browser navigation behave consistently. Your selected Library filters are reflected in the web address and stay correct when you use your browser's Back and Forward buttons.

• Superseded IDs are easier to identify. Previous ID documents are marked with a dated Superseded tag.

• More reliable document relationships. Linking or unlinking a document from a person or company record saves reliably, and documents stay associated with their projects while you edit their details.

• Clearer deletion and restoration. The recycle bin tells you exactly which documents were deleted or restored. Restoring a document also restores its previous connections where possible.

• Cleaner entity removal. Removing an entity, such as a related company, also removes its references from every document that was linked to it.

Invitations and projects

• Invite existing colleagues to more projects. You can add someone who already has access to one project to another without affecting their existing access.

• Clearer invitation status. Pending invitations appear in Manage Project Users. If an invitation email could not be sent, Adviisa tells you and gives you the option to resend it.

• Tidier project pages. Files are grouped by category, with categories shown alphabetically.

Email notifications

• More reliable delivery to Microsoft 365. We updated the email notifications Adviisa sends so they deliver more reliably to Microsoft 365 email accounts.

• Replies go to the right person. When someone shares a file or project with you, replying to the notification email now goes to the person who shared it.

Email-in and viewing documents

• More reliable email-in. Documents sent to your organisation's Adviisa inbox are processed reliably; however, the sender's email software capitalises the address.

• Smoother PDF viewing. You can scroll quickly through long PDF documents without interruption.

• Fewer interruptions during updates. If Adviisa is open while we deploy an update, the page recovers cleanly.

Accessibility

We have improved keyboard and screen-reader support across Adviisa.

• Form fields, drop-down lists and dialogue close buttons have appropriate accessible names.

• Escape and Tab behave correctly within drop-down lists.

• Keyboard focus stays inside a dialogue while the dialogue is open.

Security and reliability

As with every release, we have continued to strengthen the safeguards that protect your data and keep Adviisa dependable. This includes routine updates to the platform’s underlying components, more resilient handling of document actions when your connection is interrupted, and consistent recording of uploads, approvals, deletions and restores in your organisation’s audit trail.

This release makes it easier to upload older documents, manage identity information and work with forms, alongside further improvements to privacy, security and reliability.

Documents and uploads

You can now upload older Microsoft Office files in .doc, .xls and .ppt formats. These older formats can't be read automatically, so rather than being rejected, they're sent for manual review. The platform now reviews the styling formatting of Word documents, as in some instances, errors in this were causing rejection. Where these are identified, the platform resolves these before processing. The platform can also now recognise Office files from their actual contents, so a valid document saved with the wrong extension will still be accepted. Improved file checks continue to block unsupported, mislabelled or potentially unsafe files.

Identity documents and Companies House information

A single identity document can now be linked to a person across more than one role or category through the document library. Where a surname may not match, the app shows a warning but lets an authorised user continue with Attach Anyway.

Companies House identity-verification numbers can now be entered with or without hyphens, and are saved in a consistent format regardless of how they were typed. Three identity-document buttons have shorter, clearer labels.

Forms and everyday usability

Clear buttons have been restored to form fields where appropriate. Government Gateway ID and Corporation Tax UTR details can now be cleared deliberately when needed, and leaving one of these fields blank will no longer remove existing information by accident.

Older Office documents awaiting approval now clearly support manual entry, without prompting you to retry automatic analysis.

Privacy, security and reliability

We've strengthened internal safeguards protecting production systems and sensitive access details during releases, with deployment approvals and administrator permissions checked immediately beforehand and the exact approved version verified before it goes live. We've also applied security updates to the underlying software components.

Behind the scenes

We've improved release checks, recovery processes and production packaging, and expanded automated testing, security monitoring and dependency checks. You won't see these directly, but they make every future update safer and more dependable.

This release focuses on making everyday work smoother, delivering sharing improvements, and making your company records more reliable.

Company records

Your company information now stays consistent across the platform, even when Companies House data changes. New organisations start with a default business record named after the registered company, giving you a clear place to link documents and reports from day one.

Officer details, beneficial-owner records and identity-document expiry dates now update more reliably. You can also import shareholder registers directly from an Excel file held in your document library.

Documents and projects

Preview is now simply called View, and large documents open more reliably. Shared document views and downloads are more dependable, and documents hold on to their project links properly when restored, updated or moved through approval.

Sharing and communication

Sharing links now carry even stronger privacy protections, including safer handling of passcodes. You can add a personal message to invitation and sharing emails, and both email and in-app notifications are clearer and more useful.

Calendar and everyday usability

Calendar subscriptions now flag organisations you cannot access so they can't be selected by mistake. Recurring event changes are more dependable, and calendar and project search results are easier to navigate by keyboard.

The Dashboard now remembers your Recent Activity sorting and display preferences. The Inbox and Pending Approval screens are more stable, with better ordering and less flicker. Forms and common actions have been simplified with clearer labels and fewer unnecessary prompts.

Accessibility has been improved throughout, including clearer buttons, better keyboard navigation and more reliable screen reader support.

Behind the scenes

Audit records are richer.  We have also invested further in automated testing, security monitoring and release safeguards. You won't see these directly, but they make every future update safer and easier to recover from if something goes wrong.
